Pang Da Hai (Sterculia Seeds) (USD$)

Product of China
Description
These seeds are excellent for clearing hot phlegm from the lungs and throat. Typically, hot phlegm develops after a cold or flu, during which one of the symptoms was a sore throat. If the lungs are dry, then any mucus which accumulated in the lungs or sinus passages during the illness can thicken and become sticky and difficult to expectorate. The throat may remain sore, and although there is coughing, the phlegm cannot be dislodged. Hoarseness and loss of voice may also occur.
Pang Da Hai will cool and moisten the lungs and thereby soften any phlegm so that it is easier to expectorate. As the lungs are soothed and moistened, the dryness and coughing should also stop, and the ability to speak should return. Pang Da Hai can also be used to strengthen and restore the lungs and voice if it falters after prolonged speaking, singing, or shouting, and can be used as a preventative prior to any speaking engagement to prevent loss of voice. An added benefit of Pang Da Hai is their ability to moisten the intestines and aid the movement of stool.Full List of Ingredients

Directions
To make tea from Pang Da Hai, put 3-4 seeds in a cup and then pour boiling water over them. Allow the seeds to steep for 5-10 minutes. You should find that after the time has elapsed, the seeds have expanded, as per their name. You can then add a teaspoon of honey to the tea for taste and drink the liquid. You can also eat some of the seeds, if you can, as that will also help to moisten and strengthen your lungs too. Relief of coughing and loss of voice should occur after just a few days of drinking as much tea as possible, or at least 4-5 cups per day.
